Dear French Story Listeners,
Every Saturday at 2pm, I publish a new French story. And every Monday, I write to you.
This rhythm matters. It’s how we build something lasting together.
This week’s story is tender: Une histoire de l’Avent
→ Watch it here 🎥 https://youtu.be/yMosE_RFUxs
It is about an ugly Christmas tree and the home that was waiting for it all along.
Here’s my invitation:
Press play when you’re ready – not distracted, not multitasking. Just you and the story.
Let the French flow. Some words you’ll catch, others will float by. Both are fine.
You’re training your ear to the melody of the language.
The simplest tip that changes everything:
When it ends, speak. Tell the story back to yourself – even just the parts you remember, even in English if you need to.
This is how French moves from your ears to your mouth, naturally, without force.
You don’t need perfect recall. You need connection to the story.
And here’s your encouragement this week:
You’re doing something beautiful by showing up for these stories.
Progress isn’t always loud – sometimes it’s quiet, like roots growing deeper.
You’ve got this.
If you’d like, come share what touched you in the comments under the video.
I’m there, reading, responding.
You’re not alone in this.
This is how we learn – story by story, week by week, together.
À bientôt,
Alice 💕
