As we approach the end of 2023, it’s time to reminisce about the highlights of this year for our community.
Our encounter in Pau
In October, we had the pleasure of gathering together in person with Barry, Jane, Lyn, and her niece, the delightful Meryl, Judy, Carolyn, Alan, accompanied by his wonderful wife Sande, Cairistiona, Esko, and his charming wife Marja-Riitta.
Our rendezvous took place in the heart of Pau, nestled in the stunning French region of the South-West, offering breathtaking views of the Pyrenees. It was an extraordinary week filled with laughter, genuine joy, delectable cuisine, authentic French experiences, and the creation of everlasting memories.
This unforgettable occasion wouldn’t have been possible without the invaluable assistance of my sister, Astrid, who meticulously planned every detail with love and care.

Embark on an epic journey: Adult Stage complete!
In 2023, my husband and I successfully completed the Adult Stage, a comprehensive series consisting of 30 videos accompanied by transcripts and audio, delving into the intricate tapestry of French history. This program allows you to understand better where the French language comes from and how it developed over time.
It is aimed at intermediate French learners who have reached what is commonly known as the “intermediate plateau’. This time in your French journey when you understand quite a lot but you find it hard to speak spontaneously. Although you may believe, you must force yourself to speak French, this is une fausse croyance (a false belief).
What you need is more optimal input : rich, abondant, comprehensible and captivating input. You need to read and listen to more French in order to be able to speak French naturally.
The Adult Stage has been has been meticulously crafted to offer precisely that, equipping you to move beyond the intermediate phase.
