Monsieur et Madame McDonald étaient des touristes à Paris. Ils étaient écossais et ils avaient décidé de visiter Paris pour la dixième fois parce que c’était leur dixième anniversaire de mariage !

Les MacDonald étaient au Grand hôtel et ils devaient sortir pour aller dîner au restaurant Maxim’s pour fêter leur anniversaire de mariage et ensuite ils devaient aller au Moulin Rouge pour voir la revue du French Cancan.

Different language projects around the topic of school

The topic of school in grade 6 (11-12 years old) gives the opportunity to learn about the facilities at a school, the different subjects and the time (here is the curriculum I planned for this topic). At the end of the topic I like to have a my students work on a project to recap all the new vocabulary and structures they have learned.

2014 Goals

I usually set myself a few goals at the start of a new year but this time I have decided to restrain myself!

My main goal is really to keep updating this blog on a regular basis. I would like to post something that went well during a lesson (or something that went wrong) once a week.

Talk about a picture in Spanish

A picture can be a great start for a conversation when it is hard to get students talking in the target language. In my present school, we prepare grade 9 and 10 for the IGCSE exams and one part of the exam is about students having to converse with the teachers about different topics they have previously learned.
