To our circle of French Story Listeners,
Autumn has arrived, and with it the perfect invitation to slow down and listen to a poem.
🍂 Our poem for the season
“Jour pluvieux d’automne” by Michel Beau

In Charlotte Mason’s approach to education, poetry holds a precious place.
It nourishes the ear, the heart, and the imagination.
A few minutes a day is enough, and what matters most is consistency.
Like music, poetry soaks in through gentle, regular repetition.
Little by little, you build a poetic memory, an inner treasure that stays with you for life.
So pour a cup of tea or coffee on a grey afternoon, listen to the poem once or twice, and let the words settle in.
Come back to it tomorrow, and the day after.
There’s no pressure, only a few quiet minutes with French.
🎥 Le Cercle de Bruno: Session 5 replay
On Friday, Tante Dubois (Astrid) began teaching Bruno a very advanced power: erasing ten to fifteen seconds of someone’s memory.
Her image is that memory is a painting, constantly painted and repainted. What would you do with such a power?

P.S. 💛 My friend Céline Guerreiro of LanguageMate is going live on Zoom this Wednesday for intermediate learners: You live in France but you still don’t feel like yourself when you speak French? Céline will show you how a French language partner can help you speak with confidence and sound like you. It’s free and live, with no replay.
