Member Spotlight: Margo’s Testimony 🌟
I want to share a heartfelt testimonial from Margo, who has been a member since 2019 and recently rejoined after a break.
“I have been a member since 2019. I took a break for the past 5 months and have just resubscribed. I have not found a French acquisition website that does a better job in helping learners acquire French, than Alice Ayel. I appreciate and need to be able to watch the videos, hear the audios, and read the transcripts; it’s the complete package. I appreciate Alice having lots of free resources on YouTube, but again, the whole package is what helps me advance. Registering was quick and easy, and finding my way around Alice’s website is fun. So much there! Also, they’re always willing to help if you have questions.”
Thank you, Margo, for your kind words and trust!
Your experience reminds us all that having the right tools and support makes a world of difference.
Remember, the journey is the reward. keep going, and enjoy every step of your French adventure! 🌱💖
With gratitude and encouragement,

French news: 🇨🇦 From Québec to Our Community: Exploring French Together! 🇫🇷
Coucou les membres de la communauté,
This Monday’s Community Live Meeting was truly special!
Barry, one of our most committed members, invited a friend from Québec to join the meeting.
It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to hear and speak French with une québécoise.
Merci, Barry, for helping us bring a little bit of Québec into our circle!
Click here to join next time.
French from France vs. Québécois: What’s Different? 🤔
You may have noticed some differences in the way people from Québec speak French compared to what you might be used to hearing from France.
Québécois French has its own unique accent, vocabulary, and expressions.
For example, you might hear “magasiner” instead of “faire du shopping” for “to go shopping,” or “char” instead of “voiture” for “car.”
The pronunciation can also be quite distinct, with some vowel sounds and rhythms that set it apart from European French.
Despite these differences, both varieties are equally rich and beautiful.
Understanding them opens up even more of the Francophone world for you!
Discover Jeanne Mance: A Pioneer Worth Knowing 📚
If you’re looking for inspiration this week, I encourage you to read and watch our resource about Jeanne Mance on our site.

Jeanne Mance was a remarkable woman, a French nurse and one of the founders of Montréal.
She played a crucial role in establishing the city’s first hospital and is remembered for her courage, compassion, and pioneering spirit.
Her story is not only a fascinating part of Canadian and French history but also a testament to the power of dedication and vision.

French news: Nadya’s Journey, From Simple Sentences to Confident Conversations
Coucou les membres de la communauté,
Nadya’s Teen Stage Triumph 🎓
This week, I want to shine a spotlight on one of our dear members, Nadya, who has just completed the Teen Stage, our special French course for intermediate learners.
Nadya shared in the Community Chat:
“Je suis heureuse parce que j’ai terminé le ‘Teen Stage’ : j’ai répondu aux 31 questions. Mes questions préférées sont : « Si j’étais un super-héros, quels pouvoirs j’aimerais avoir ? », « Qu’est-ce que je voudrais apprendre ? » et « Si je pouvais retourner dans le passé, dans quelle période historique aimerais-je vivre, et pourquoi ? » @Alice, Merci de m’avoir guidée dans cette aventure!”

Barry & Nadya in Lyon
Bravo, Nadya! Your progress and enthusiasm are inspiring to all of us.
How to Get the Most Out of the Teen Stage ✍️
If you’re ready to follow in Nadya’s footsteps, here’s how the Teen Stage sessions work.
In each session, I answer a question about myself, maybe where I live, things I love, or things I hate. I type my answer on a document and comment on it as I go, explaining my thoughts and choices.
As I type each sentence, you can copy them in your most beautiful handwriting. This isn’t just about neatness! Your hand is the extension of your brain, and handwriting helps you develop fluency and automaticity with French prosody.
You can repeat out loud as you write. This is optional, but saying the sentences aloud while writing gives your brain and tongue a double workout, boosting your French fluency and confidence! 🗣️✍️
When the session is over, take a moment to write your own answer to the question, reflecting on your own life and experiences.
Don’t worry about spelling or grammar! Just let your ideas flow.

Click here to start the Teen Stage!
You’ll be surprised at how much you can already express in French, and each session will help you grow even more.
Why This Method Works for Real Conversations 💬
By copying my sentences, repeating them aloud, and then writing your own personal answers, you’re training your brain to think in French.
You internalize sentence structures, vocabulary, and natural phrasing, so you’ll be ready when it’s time for a real conversation.
The more you train yourself, the more automatic your responses become, and the easier it is to maintain a conversation in French without overthinking.
It’s a gentle, effective way to build both confidence and competence!
Celebrate Every Step And Share Your Victories! 🎉
To all our members, keep going!
Whether you’re finishing a stage, writing your first paragraph, or simply showing up to listen & read, every step forward counts.

Remember, the journey is the reward.
I’d love to hear about your victories, big or small-so please share and post them in our Community Chat.
Your story might be just the encouragement someone else needs today. 💪✨
Bon courage et à bientôt,
